Archaeology "Garbage Bag" Activity
In Class: Today the students were put into groups of four. The teams were then given a brown bag with a list of "garbage" items that were found in trash cans by a group of homes. The teams had to decide - based on the items on the list - what type of person(s), family, etc. lived in the home. This is a representation of how Archaelogists work in the field to establish a link with the students. The groups then presented their findings.
