Geography Bee

In Class: Today the students will take the first round in the Geography Bee which Awtrey participates in each year. The 16 finalists will compete in the semi-final round in January. The two best students will then compete to see who wins and has a chance to compete in the regional round in March (the location to be determined).

The Georgia Constitution

In Class: Today the students did a KWL on the Georgia Constitution (what they know, what they want to learn, and what they did learn). The students were given an outline of the GA Constitution and we discussed the basic structure of the Constitution compared to the U. S. Constitution.

Homework: The students will draft five (5) Rights for students at Awtrey School.
