In Class: Today the students wrote an essay explaining which service they would give the most money to if they were a commissioner in a county. This essay will show what the students have accomplished over the past week of study.

Continuation of Budget Project

In Class: Today the students, in their groups, gave a report on how they spent their budget money for services in the county from yesterday work. We then voted and debated who spent what until we came to a consensus on how much money was to be spent for each county service.

County Budget dispersal

In Class: Today the students were put into groups of three. They were given a handout with the 15 services we looked at and discussed yesterday. They then had to divide a county budget of $100 million dollars between these services and justify why each area received the amount of money it got.
